Jimmy Jak's Story
Ten years ago a young man named Shawn came to the Cedar Rapids area as a store manager for a major pizza chain. He made the forty-five minute commute from his hometown, Jesup.
He met a girl from Marion and three years later they were married, started a family and made Marion their new hometown.
Shawn missed his hometown pizza and even though he still got it when he returned home, that wasn’t enough. He wanted to bring this pizza to his new hometown. His wife added that their entire family had not been satisfied with any other pizza except his old hometown pizza.
Four years ago, Shawn started dropping hints to the owner of his hometown pizza store of what he would like to do.
Knowing Shawn’s reputation as a manager and a person, the owner was immediately interested. They started plans to bring the people of Marion the best pizza Shawn had ever tasted.
